Over the top Acorn "journalist", O'Keefe, arrested for phoney phone fun at Sen. Landrieu's office
Heh, heh. What appears to be a wiretapping attempt should make it clear now that this guy is more of a political operative than anything else.
Update: As much as the conservative chorus would like to say this was not a wiretapping attempt, the presence of such a device in one of the perp's nearby vehicle would raise the possibility, if only as a "Plan B".
The economy is in worse shape then we acknowledge
Tea Party talking points aren't the solution either.
SC Repug compares feeding poor people to stray animals
Once again, putting the repugnant in Repug.
Times are tough but is this really the thinking we want guiding our country?
Health care legislative sausage won't look good on the plate
The unions have carved out a special tax exemption deal for their support of pending health care reform. Their best rationale is that it would otherwise undo collective bargaining positions taken in the past.
We are strong supporters of unions and the protection of worker rights: Trust us, we have the bona fide street creds on this. Wall Street Journal editorials aside, in the coming turmoil this will not play well on a ground level.
Previous tax exemptions for health care plans seemed a natural expression of support for a fundamental need. But juggling numbers to prove that a greater support of that basic need could be done put those lost tax dollars into play. Further juggling appears to be in order.
SCOTUS decision makes democracy's playing field suddenly uneven
The progressive community needs to get it together now or face potential loses that will mean at least a decade of diminished influence.
Brown wins US Senate seat for Massachusetts
We were amongst those that thought Obama had it going on. Keep this up and he will be going on out the door after one term.
This was a massive failure of the state Democratic party. The national party failed to provide the leadership and guidance that it should have. We hope that this is all the warning they will require to get their act together.
Learning from the Massachusetts experience
The lack of a public option will ultimately be the undoing of
health care reform.

Physicist linked to opposition killed in Iran
Our
guess is that, despite the blustering by the regime, this was actually a COINTEL move.
Fox makes a devil of a deal with Palin
So you have her and Huckabee, two possible Republican presidential candidates, contributing to Fox News. Seems really ironic that Palin would mention the fair and balanced news work of Fox in her statement.
Blackwater/Xe decision smells like a fix
To proceed with a prosecution built on statements given under immunity was plainly stupid.
WSJ peddles a "new" race problem
But it sure looks like the same old one. Like others on the right, he should have just called Obama the affirmative action president.
