This is just one example of a trend we've been seeing. Chip manufacturers had ramped up production for Vista only to have it fizzle. Windows 7 has the same high memory requirements as Vista and all indications are that it will not be a repeat of the Vista debacle.

DDR2 memory prices are averaging about 50% higher than a year ago.
