Via Poynter: Jarvis forgets his craft
As much as the
Fowler article has caused waves in traditional and new media, it would seem that each could gain an appreciation of the other's efforts to get to truth.
Jarvis is an early-adapting, self-important/promoting hypocrite. And we have
noted that before.
We have always been struck by the very human (and often conflicting) elements that make a great journalist but always that burning desire to tell the truth.
We wonder if Jarvis would admit to that most elemental craft secret of obscuring identity to blow past a gate-keeper on the phone.
