  Via Romenesko- McCaw should obey the law
About the finest example of what is wrong with newspaper ownership today: Way past fostering debate nor even allowing debate, an individual's benign expression is cause to draw a lawyer.

Every citizen should obey the law. Not just the black letter law or the law that passes a lawyer's laugh test but the law of the land that says a person has a right to an opinion about what affects their community. McCaw must have one hell of an inferiority complex if a shop window is considered a threat against the claxon of her printing press.
