The tasks ahead for Democrats
We have been thinking about these matters since the election. Never have been a fan of the DLC and, as much as we enjoyed seeing Bill Clinton's pragmatism, don't want to see Hillary as the nominee.
Confronting Shrub is not some idle desire of the liberal geek. Serious and grievous wrongs have been committed upon the social and political fabric of our nation. It is entirely possible the progressive cause will not fair so well in the next election hence there is every reason to pursue our objectives now with all vigor.
All the pundits of the MSM have been straining to fit the outcome of the election into their respective version of a master narrative. The thoroughly rounded nature of that outcome has left inconvenient corners all over the op-ed pages.
