Verizon issues denial of NSA story
Along with the denial from BellSouth, the only conclusion I can come to is that the NSA was just picking on Qwest.
Funny, Verizon has been telling me that, while neither denying nor confirming the story, they can't comment because anything involving the NSA is highly classified.
Days later, the answer is that it never happened. Why not just say that in the first place?
Because the story is true. This is just legal/public relations tactics. I would say they are looking for a bail-out from the government similar to the one being attempted in the EFF suit against AT&T. ¶ 5/16/2006 07:13:00 PM
