George Scott, founding baritone of gospel vocal group the Blind Boys of Alabama, died Wednesday, according to a statement. He was 75.

These guys were amongst the best. I have this thing for traditional gospel music. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the mutually enriching relationship it shares with the blues. Believe me, brothers and sisters, you'd have to look quick to catch me in church.
