Terrorist, Hersh, does it again
First: Welcome back to Mr. Hamill.
Now, about Abu Ghraib.
I gotta say, at the very least, circumstantial evidence points to this being more than a few yahoo's going outside the lines. The Bozo's had to make further photographic evidence so the probability is that the "system' will cut them loose to swing on their own. One idiot's, admittedly self-serving, observation that they wouldn't have the knowledge of specific cultural anthropology to make some of these things work does have the ring of truth to it.

They call 'em "Liars" for a reason
I recently had an email exchange with Glenn Reynolds of "Instapundit" concerning the Dover photo's on "The Memory Hole". As might be expected from such a prolific law professor, fare to middlin' lawyering on the matter. A fairly short exchange but one that gave me some insight into his rhetorical style. I hope to be able to use that in the future.
I've kinda wrestled with this. I'm reluctant to link to his site. I kinda think Glenn is the embodiment of how the conservative intellectual wing of our society has been able to hoodwink so many of us. He is charming, thoughtful and,so long as you don't dig at the facts, very convincing. He is definitely not Ann Coulter. He does not register on the shrill meter. But his "pass off" to the link does not absolve him of intellectual responsibility or the need for veracity.
Glenn recently linked to an "Insight" article with a purported case that Saddam's WMD's had been found. Of course, this is not true. But it did not stop "Insight" from making such a statement nor did it stop Glenn from linking to it. Kinda no wonder that close to half the country thinks so. Lotsa idiot's sayin' it, nobody refuting them.
So, my request to Glenn is: Please show me one of the WMD's that have been found. It could even be one of those supposed threats that was to be mobilized within 45 minutes. Eagerly awaiting your reply.
